Post Justification For Higher Education

Maybe a little off-topic, but a great poster anyway in light of the recent discussions on how we afford expensive toys.

The maker of that poster should update it with new cars. As it is I doubt many of those posters have been sold after the late 80's early 90's.

Not to mention most of those guys from the 80's are being rounded up by the FBI for fraud.

I agree the cars are dated, but the message remains valid in my opinion and that is what the original discussion was about.

This poster has hung over the head of my son's bed since he was about 12 years old. I think it made an impression. He starts college at a major university in about three weeks.

Somehow, I know he got the message.

Gosh! I am surprised this poster has received so many negative comments.

Live and learn, I guess!

Ohsixx,

I like the poster as well. Even though it remains dated, the message -- as you rightfully indicate -- remains true even today.

I remember being awestruck by it the first time I saw it as a toddler. It inspired me tremendously. And while my inspiration today comes from (slightly) different sources, I hold fond memories of this one.

Definitely an oldie, but a goodie.

Regards.

Heres a bit of flame bait:

Where are all the trophy wives leeching your money?

Actually I like the poster too and remember it hanging on many a dorm room wall. As for the trophy wives leaching money? They are everywhere from Beverly Hills to Santa Barbara out here.

A few years back I attended a Formula 1 race party at a Ferrari dealership in a somewhat conservative oriented city and let me tell you there was not one trophy wife there. A lot of plane Janes and intact marriages not to mention bank accounts. Contrast that with a recent trip to South Beach where all I saw were flashy posuers and the women that chased them. Think how wealthy they'd be if it weren't for the leeches.

P.S. By the way, I did upgrade all my cars but the Vette I got rid of. In it's place is a 72 Pantera. Feel free to fly the chopper by and take a new picture.

Lightbulb !!!Justification Poster might be returning!!!

While scanning posts throughout the internet, I was pleased to see this VERY old rennlist post about the "Justification For Higher Education"oster from the late 80s-90s, and amazed by the amount of people commenting on it... I am the artist that created the first 2 versions for the original guys that commisioned the poster, ALL those years ago (before it went downhill in quality as many bad knockoff versions were created).
I've been considering re-creating a new updated poster that would relate to today's ideal of a "wish list of toys", but first I thought I'd put some feelers out here and see what people think of the idea; should they be collectable classic sports cars similar to before, or maybe we go with the super cars of today? (or even futuristic cars of tomorrow?) I have a few ideas for a more over-the-top design... cars of course but also super-bikes, a yacht, cigarette boat, jet skis, maybe a heli-pad on the roof...
I'll be posting this idea on a few platforms in these upcoming weeks, and would love to hear any opinions from the car purists/enthusiasts out there! Thoughts anybody?

Great idea to resurrect the classic poster, but it will have to be updated. The richest guys nowadays are college dropouts.
