You're absolutely right Larson, I mentioned reworking the whole idea...*note- the original was essentially a collection of small cropped photos on a single sheet of paper, then I airbrushed the entire sky, background, garage etc around those pics to have a complete setting..
My thought is to completely hand-paint a new full scene this time, for a more painterly yet still pretty realistic feeling scene. I have a few ideas for a more over-the-top design... cars of course but also super-bikes, a yacht, cigarette boat, jet skis, maybe a heli-pad on the roof...

Yeah, I mean the poster really spoke to me as a teenager, so if you wanted to hit that audience hard I'd say think about things like:

Porsche 918
LaFerrari
Huracan
GT40 (newer)
McLaren

I'd vote NO on a Veyron but maybe that's just me...

Heh, I had a very "2004 Rich" era poster of this with a 996 turbo, 360 Modena, etc for years. Last year my wife photoshopped together a new one for me with a house I'd actually want and a GT3RS, 906, 356 speedster, Longhood, and a Raptor.
It sits behind me at my desk and I get a lot of comments on it during video calls.

I had that poster in college in the late 80's/early 90's. Loved it! I'm not sure if it was the original. It had a nice spanish style house on an oceanfront cliff during sunset & a garage full of expensive cars.

I was fond of telling my students (engineering) that
"..education is what you have left when you forget all the facts.."
Just to emphasize how higher education allows a person to enjoy the finer aspects of life, in addition to owning sports cars...
