I just bought an 03 cab and notice that there appears to be a pretty constant noise between the door and dash on both the driver and passenger sides. Almost like the plastic from the dash and the door rubbing together. It is pretty annoying. At first it sounded like the AC vent was rattling but I don't think that is it.
Is there a fix for this?
Also what is the cheapest place to order tequipment stuff from? Is the windstop any good?
Can't address the noise or tequipment question, but the windstop does work very well. IMHO, it's worth the money. With top down, windows up and screen on it's very quiet and very little wind!
Holy thread revival - but did you, or anyone else, ever figure this out? I have _exactly_ this noise and I tried taking the vents out - didn’t help. Where is it coming from?!?
Noise only while driving, or always with engine running? Stock speakers? Stereo noise? Even when off the amp can pickup emi. Pull some fuses.
While driving and not always. Depends on RPMs and road surface. I found sometimes if I jam my hand hard between the AC vent and the door, I can occasionally make it less bad.... won’t go away though, otherwise I’d just drive one handed
Thanks! Good idea, lol. I'll go troll those threads too.

Hmm. You mean the mirror controls? Not sure what you mean by the top latching mechanism? It does feel like it's coming more from the mirror section than the vent section, though...
headlight switch in my '03 squeaks against the dashboard hole where it is inserted. Drives me nuts. Lots of squeaks in the dash if it is cold - as car heats up the plastic expands and stops making so much noise.
