Default Alignment settings for Rowm030

I know i've seen it posted (I think), but for the life of me cannot find the thread anywhere.. Does anyone have the rowmo30 alignment settings? I spoke with the dealer and they said they dont have those specs and that would most likely use the US version which is slightly taller then the ROW.

Thanks in advance.

i don't have the specs anymore but i'd take your car to a shop that preps cars for the tracks & does allignments. i took mine to the shop that most of the ferrari & Pantera racers go to for prepping their cars and had the owner do my allignment after i installed the ROW M030.

i gave him the factory specs for this suspension and he said they were extremely "pussyfooted" i explained that i did not need to have maximum performance as my car was a daily driver and did not want to chew through tires every 3-5K miles. He guaranteed that i would be happy with the settings he did and I am - thrilled. he basically indicated that the factory specs were worthless as they only differ from the regular suspension in one area (can't remember which measurement).

BTW, they cost about half as much as the dealer

Cheers,

Actually I was able to find a way to post it here in the post. 3rd column is RoWM030 and 4th is for X74.

Here's how I had mine done. They didn't have the RoW specs in their computer so I had to bring them myself.

To be honest I don't even know. The shop I used are Porsche specialists and I just told them to make it as if it were their own for the street/track.

Peter, basically, Rob's data shows maximum negative camber settings. They went past it just a fuzz in the front (-22'vs-15') and just under on the rear (-1degree23' vs -1degree25').

For max handling, you want most negative camber allowed. I intend to have my car aligned similar to Rob's.

Thanks Kevin, then I should use rob's setting.. Negative camber means the wheel is pointed in?

Think of your wheel on a vertical axis where the top 1/2 of the wheel sits closer in to the suspension than the bottom. Left Wheel looks like this / and right wheel looks like this \

hey rob thanks for the post.. would I be able to use your setup even though my car is an 03 MY?

I'm assuming that the max negative camber allowed would be great for handling but bad for the life of the tires? There's got to be a trade off for the added performance.

I'm almost positive that will work on your car, since I did mine in '03 and the print out specifies 996 1999- and not 1999-2002. You may want to check over at renntech.org just to be sure. Yes, negative camber will affect tire wear, but mine is not an overly aggressive set-up (vs. say a hardcore auto-X alignment). I've got over 12k miles (they're almost toast) on my S03s with this set-up, which is more then I got out of the P-Zeros with the stock suspension/alignment. You will be VERY happy, the car feels like a go-cart in comparison with stock.

Peter,

Here is a good comparison of the standard US suspension, the USA M030 and the ROW M030 with spring height comparisons, ride height comparisons, and an engineering study of each of the three different setups. It does not give you camber figures, but it will help explain the differences between your old setup and your new one. Good luck.
