40 and Over Crowd
43. This is my 1st Porsche. Ordered it brand new from the factory in '99 at the very peak of the market and I paid sticker. Love it with the Fabspeeds and ROW 030 at the track. Hard and loud baby!

Fortunately (for me) my wife has a great sens of humour.

Picked up my first Porsche, a beater 914, in 78. I was 25 then. I couldn't afford a 911 until I was pretty close to 40. Hopefully I can get a TT by 60, without having to get a divorce, that is
I think I can afford one now, but everyone in the house doesn't agree.

Wow, a TT at 29 - At that age, I probably would have ran it into a ditch doing 180.
I only had beaters up until I was about 30, which was probably good, 'cause I still wracked up plenty of tickets. Now, I drive like a Grandma.

Anyways, surprisingly I'm a very focused driver. 2 speeding tickets in my life, both in college 1 week apart from each other. A couple accidents which taught me the value of snow tires, and that's it.
Like most others on this forum, my car and I have a spiritual connection...though, it's always been that way. Leased an '01 Audi A4 out of college, traded it in for an '01 X5 4.4i, traded that for an '01 330CiC, then I went all out for the Turbo...this one's going to be hard to beat.
I got my first Porche when I was 18.
Unfortunately that was in 1958. It was a '52 Speedster with a bored out VW engine. Probably made in Ferdi's Austrian garage pre 356. The entire car was about 36" high. Windshield was 8" & it had side curtains. Very ameteurish manufacturing. My Alpha - same vintage, ran rings around it. Had to put sand bags under the bonnet to keep the front wheels in traction. No radial tires then...

...any of you guys saw the printed add with a kid on a swing, a 911 in the background and a caption to the effect "Sold in 1973, Bought in 2004" ...or something along those lines.
Had a Silver Turbo Poster in my bedroom as a teenager....got the Silver 40th for my 40th...alll that was missing was the giant whaletail like the picture...
How old were you guys when you figured out you wanted a 911 ? I think I was about 12.
