Default Just Purchased '01 996TT - Car Transport?

I just purchased a 2001 996 TT from a dealer in Montgomery, AL. Clean carfax, dealer performing PPI on Monday. Hopefully it will check out. I'm really excited!!!

Anyway, the dealer recommends McNutt Auto Transport Service to ship the car to Chicago where I live. They are a lot cheaper than Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). I am waiting to get a firm quote from IntercityLines and Passport (FedEx). Anybody have any experience w/McNutt? Good or bad?

Thanks,
Adam

How's the weather? Fly down and pick it up. You will know the car pretty well be the time you get home. Take a couple days and enjoy the trip!

The drive is about 900 miles and the weather this time of year in the midwest is questionable. I don't want to get stuck in a snow storn. Plus the best airfare I could find was $390. I would need to spend at least one night in a hotel as well and incur incidentals. I would rather just pay the slight upcharge to ship and stay at work & try to make more money to pay for this thing.

Use Passport! These guys know how to transport and more importantly, take care of a vehicle in transit. When I sold my 73 model last year it was shipped via these guys and the new owner was delighted with the communication while the car was in transit.....No problems and the car arrived just fine. Good Luck!

Intercity lines is great. they have some of the best customer service. They took pics of the car being loaded onto the trialer, it's a closed trailer, 2 story, they put 2 car covers on it, and treat it like it's worth $3,000,000.00

My 924S was stranded in Topeka with a spun bearing, (yes, it sucked a lot) so they had to use a winch to get it up, yet they still sent pics. Car got to me, was covered twice, the people were very nice, and helped with whatever, treated it like their own car. sent me a thank you card after they dropped it off!

This is the company Barret Jackson uses. Look em up.

Passport shipped my car from Ft. Wayne Indiana to California, they were excellent. Arrived a week before promised. Highly reccomended!
