Default Garage floor advice

I am looking for advice from anyone in the Northeast who has used tile or some other material on their garage floor. If you have had it through at least one winter, how did it hold up? Would you use the same material again? Thanks

I have had "race deck" since last spring, so I can't comment on a whole winter's experience, but I am very happy with it so far.

I got mine from the dealer by me--Any color any size they come install only pay for what I use dont have to buy a whole box of a certain color. Plus there is cutting involved as well--normally I would have done myself but for $300 or so to install it was well worth the 2 hrs they were there-- btw the space is 19x19

Mike,

Does that floor get slippery in the winter? Is it easy to clean?

Thanks,
Rob

Cleaning--you can sweep dirt and junk right off it or use a leaf blower--from rain and such there are dirt wwater stains-so you can hose off or use windex and just wipe away. It has the pseudo diamond plate finish so its raised and hasnt been slippery.
I almost got a high grade industrial carpet but the price is close to this so skipped it

What about the Armstrong tiles? Anyone who gets a fair amount of snow, rain, tried these?

Re race deck: I use a wet mop with floor cleaner every once in a while. The tiles are raised slightly off the floor, so any moisture that gets in will run off or dry up eventually. FWIW I have jacked up large cars on the floor, and they can handle a huge amount of weight without deforming.

Nice, looks like I won't be staining the garage this spring..
When installing, do they clean or prep the comcrete floors and how?

Grizzy,

You paid 300 total for your race deck? I just spoke to a lady who quoted me 1400 for a 20x20.
Did you guys get the diamond flooring or the circle trac? Does anyone have the "free flow"?

I think the $300 is just for the installation. Material would be much more.
