Crank but no start after sitting for a year
I am getting my 99 ready to sell as it has been sitting in the driveway for a year (long story but basically I just have too much going on to work on it much).
I bought a new battery for it, and have been trying to get it started. It turns over just fine but just doesn't seem to want to fire. Not even a sputter.
I did test to fuel pump with a power probe and it seems to be working.
Unfortunately, some water got into the interior over the winter and it is musty as heck in there, I'll be pulling all of that to clean it up. Are there any relays or fuel/spark related electricals in the interior that might be affected?
Any typical areas to check?
Thanks!

If water got inside then the DME under the drivers seat probably got wet. It is the lowest point in the interior. You need to pull the drivers seat and check the DME...see if it got wet. ECUDoctors can help. You need to send them the ECU/DME, immobilizer module and keys. Good luck!

Don't feel too bad, this has happend to many many people.
The Immobilizer is actually under the drivers seat and the DME is under the rear shelf behind the rear passenger side seat..
Like vJoe said, remove the Immo/DME /and key and send to ECU Doctors for repair...clean all your drains so it won't happen again....
There are plenty of threads on this so search and Ye shall find...

ECU doctors wanted my DME, the Immobilizer, and a key when I sent them mine in the past. They will test everything before they repair.
I ended up buying one of their waterproofing kits they make for the Immobilizer to prevent flooding in the future, but shame on me, I haven’t installed it yet. That was 4 years ago
