Pooping in peoples "Marketplace ads"!
This is a question for members, but also for ADMIN. I've noticed something on this site that I've never seen allowed on the MANY other forums I frequent. That is the practice of crapping in other members "FOR SALE" posts. I've seen this A LOT here on Rennlist and I admit that it does not seem becoming. These are almost always some personal preference comment that DOES NOT have any relevance to the item for sale, or at the very least BELONGS SOMEWHERE ELSE! I don't know how ADMIN allows this but, more importantly I wish everyone had the self awareness not to. Is it just me?

The BaT effect, perhaps - all FS threads are magents for people who think it's their right to criticize and complain. And now we have mods doing it, despite the clear Marketplace rules.
That "other" site policies the classifieds in a much clearer, more strict way.

I believe in "Free Speach" and I appriciate any organization that supports free speech. Free speech is protected because it may indeed be offensive to someone or cause "hurt feeling". That doesn't mean that we should be able to do it ANYWHERE. Free speech does not protect a protester walking into you livingroom and screaming his opinion. Now that is the legal part. I wish everyone had the common courtesy to speak their opinions and preferences (especially if degrading) in the place to which they were designated. THE FORUM.
The most common example I see is TipTronics. Some people like them and others don't but there are endless threads on this topic. Adding "Too bad it's a Tip" in someones Ad is just poopy, IMO.

It's a an appropriate discussion for this forum insofar as members on this forum use the marketplace for buying and selling cars, parts, and tools. I also participate on the forums for the other vehicles I own and use their marketplaces and agree we should have a rule that discussions in the marketplace should be limited to questions and answers about the item for sale; i.e. "will it fit my car?" "Is it black? It looks grey in your photos." but thread-capping comments such as "XXX wheels are such garbage! I've broken 2 sets!" do not belong in the marketplace.
