Greetings all, I'm finally back with another video on restoring my 996, affectionately called Pepper. As my engine gets re-sleeved to a 4.0, I figured I'd tackle the rust issues with the passenger side of the cabin floor. Well, it's time to start cuttin'! Hope you enjoy.
P.S. I discuss the cost of the LN Engineering procedure, shipping, and what to expect for a wait time. Did I mention there's green coolant?

Entertaining and informative as usual.
I've never done anything that ambitious, so the answer may be obvious to some - why did you cut sectionS out of the floor, rather than one piece?
I would have expected with your donor floor in such good shape that a single piece in a simple shape would have been easier.

I am not trying to be critical, but did you know this car had rust issues before you purchased it? I can remember many years ago when I purchased my first Porsche. It was a 1960 356B. I never thought about rust issues in California, until my arm went through the front fender when leaning on it.
It was a disaster to repair, as the 356 was a complete unibody, and fenders were welded to the body along with everything else.
Sorry that you have go through this hassle.

Great video. Great production. Not something I would ever undertake but I enjoy watching others and learning about the craft and the tools. Congrats on recovering from the error. Looking forward to the engine install.

Appreciate your support! This car is a veritable cornucopia of opportunities to learn new skills like welding, mechanical, electrical and budgeting all the spending (what's that?)
