Valentine's Day
Ok guys listen up. I am starting to feel the pressure from Valentine's Day for my wife, who has big expectations. It is coincidentally our anniversary. So I wanted to take her to St. Barts but the COVID risk and the risk of getting stranded is just too intimidating.
So I'm looking for some Porsche jewelry. Anyone have any ideas/sources?
Thanks
Rick

You could do the Homer Simpson bowling ball thing and buy her a companion 996 under the guise you will go on group drives together.
Honestly man I got nothing. I think Porsche Design makes watches but they are not the "same company" as Porsche AG.

I took my wife to Atlanta for Valentine 2016. We did the Master the Manual course. After that day at PCNA: museum/classic restoration facility, track and proving ground, simulator time, she said I could go to racing school. You can get her a Porsche key ring at the PCNA swag shop to match the sweet new 992 you’re buying “her” that you had delivered there.

I have no info but, generally speaking, women do prefer Hermes (bags), Tiffany (Jewels) and Cartier (Jewels/watches) rather than Porsche related stuffs.
if I were her, I wouldn’t switch a Saint Barth getaway for what you suggested. My two cents, of course 😀

A lot of this depends on what generation Boxster you are looking at. 986 Boxsters use smaller displacement M96 engines, so IMSB is still a concern. I would say 986 autos are more common than 996s, but around my parts I would say a solid 90% are manuals. Just like 911s though the newer you get the more likely they are to be autos, especially after 2009 (PDK).

This is my #2 plan, with Boxster on top right at the moment. I think she wants the Boxster but we need to go touch one once I understand the genre.
Thanks

Yeah, St Barth went down hard. But it's in the "I owe you" column after COVID dies down. We can't afford to be trapped outside the US for 2 weeks.....

Well...
GT3 seats are out of the equation. If she is under 5-2, pretty good chance she won't be able to see over the dash nor reach the instruments. Get one with electric adjustable seats. Had to build cushions for my wife and daughter when I put in GT3 seats.
Who doesn't want a Boxster? Just an all around fun car.
