I just got a paint correction + ceramic coating done. I went out last night to work out and then take advantage of the sunset. I wasn't expecting rain on my first outing after having the car done but it made the pictures better. Since everyone is only posting one picture I guess I better pick just one:
‘03 C2 Cabriolet 😍 Just hit 1 year of ownership and drive it every chance I get… Just did a temporary fix on bumper cover to deal with clear coat failure…will get a proper respray in the spring, along with rear cover. Eibach + Koni Sports replaced OEM bilsteins that were worn out…

Noooooo... Do not allow 'one pic only' to become precedent. Post more pictures. In my case, I only ever take one picture, so I have no choice. This forum is like free picture storage!
In that case, here are the others I wanted to post... I tried to "airbrush" out my reflection but it only made it look like a black smudge Kind of artsy. I don't like marquee worship but it looked good. It might have been better with the lights off. I look better with the lights off too Porsche sign in the distance. I wish I could find a better angle. The website's compression made everything a little blurry
My '02 Carrera in Orient Red Metallic. Over 150 hours invested over the past few months for a complete mechanical and cosmetic overhaul. Drives and looks like a new car and is nearly as fun as my old '04 996 GT3. Thoroughly enjoyed the spirited drive up Angeles Crest Highway last Friday, up to the Good Vibes Breakfast Club at Newcomb's Ranch.
Orient Red Metallic, Eibach springs, Bilstein B8 shocks and complete suspension overhaul.

The spoiler is the perfect spot to place donuts.
That in-motion shot looks fantastic!
Curious to know- what are some of the things you did for the mechanical overhaul? Cosmetically, I have a number of things I’d like done on my 996- and honestly, the car drives amazingly right now. But I’d love to be able to go through your list and see if there’s anything I can do to make it even better.

The car already had the IMS done and has been really well maintained, so luckily the engine runs like a top to begin with. Basically...
- Replaced ALL suspension components: shocks, springs, mounts, control arms, upper and lower links, sway bar links, etc
- Replaced inner and outer steering tie rods, boots, clamps + alignment
- New front rotors and pads, brake fluid flush
- replaced engine and transmission mounts (factory parts)
- Spark plug, belts and air filter recently replaced
- Replace transmission fluid (Delvac 75W90)
- 997 factory short shifter
There's also a ton of internal and external cosmetic stuff I did.
Got a few more things finally done to my car. I hated the way I fit in my car with the stock seats. I sat too close to the pedals, and I didn’t sit low enough in the car to see the gauges well through my Momo Mod7 in installed. I went with a set of new Recaro SPG XL’s. I am 6’3” and 230lbs. I have a bigger frame and wide shoulders, so I wanted to make sure I got a seat that fit me both height and width. The shoulders are a little tight, but the seat overall is a great fit. Very happy with how my car feels to drive now. I can drive the car so much better and these seats allow me to feel the limits of the car better. It seems to handle a lot better with me lower and more connected to the vehicle. Next up for me is to install my Feal custom coilovers, and some supporting suspension components. I also have a set of custom spec’d Fikse Porfile-5S’s I am building to go on the car. Thinking of satin black centers for those, but I also like the thought of gunmetal centers on them. The lips are all brand new mirror polished.
Aren't you supposed to be in front of a 7-11 for a pic like that?
Welcome from a fellow 2002 targa owner. Targas are the best Porsche, and the 996 is the best targa. Before the 996 you didn't get the hatch, and after the 996 you didn't get 2wd. Congratulations on hitting the targa sweet spot.

Yessss I'm really loving that "sweet spot" this car fills. Let the sky in sometimes, hardtop sometimes. RWD lightweight fun.
Love these wheels but you could say I'm biased You can get perfectly matching center caps with Porsche crest in the classifieds! Where in VA are you @Sirenty? I'm in DC.
