@SoCal911t Sure, it was $1k to prep, paint, install. I also had them patch the license plate holes, and cut open the front air duct. Other than that it was pretty much a straight install.

@AR_Motorwerkz Ya know, I actually really liked the look of the TechArt, but there's a couple things that bugged me. First - it extends too low, so i scraped on everything. The other thing is the lines didn't quite match up to the body of the car because it extended out a bit more.

Fun fact: I did a poll recently on my IG (Aero vs TechArt) and TechArt Germany voted for their bumper. Sadly, they were the only one. lol

Finally put the correct wheels back on the car so it looks like it did when it was newly born in May of 1998…and ambers all around since day one.

Met few other 996s at the beach this morning and then we drove a few of the canyons in the Malibu area. Good selection cars today with quite a few C4S. six Turbos and one GT2!

Thanks, that's what I was kind of budgeting.

Thanks! Trying to keep it simple and clean…and slightly different from a typical 996 😅

Went to a small VW meet, then came back and cleaned out the radiators and installed a turbo lip. Love the way the 40Jahres look with the Turbo lip instead of the C4S lip.

An actual, factory Country Golf…

Made an apple cider run. The day was gloomy but the drive was a pleasure as always. I just finished suspension work and this was the first outing of substance. I'm still drooling over the new look.

The Baumans are not actively squeezing apples anymore this year; they stopped at the end of March. I won't get fresh mash until the fall harvest, so I settled for frozen cider. I may be showing my bias but I swear it puts the food store stuff to shame. Or maybe the roads I take to get there add to the flavor. Plus their apple butter with sassafras is a delight. http://www.baumanfamily.com/

I run the same 9/12” wheel with 245/315 RT660. Wheels are just good old OZ. I had no issues in the back but had some front fender liner rubbing in a deep turn. Mine is a 2001 c4 so I had to run a 315 in the back due to the awd system. The car is on Ohlins and has a bunch of Tarrett stuff as well.
