After 5 months on my garage lift, loads of work/new parts/maintenance, I finally got it out for a shake down.. plus the snow only melted from the roads a few days ago....
Protecting ta **** box 996 by taking up 2 spaces, lol. I kid I kid.
But I do respect the people with the $500,000 cars parking like they don't give an F. In the end it's nothing PDR can't get out if something were to happen.
Back out in the wild after an Ohio winter up on on Quick Jacks replacing the entire suspension with the FCP Euro OEM kit. Also did tie rod ends, swaybar bushings, endlinks, strut mounts, new bumpstops, you name it, it's new. Went with the Koni Active struts like a lot of others here. Also put on new Zimmerman coated rotors, new Textar pads all around, new brake lines, and completely rebuilt/reconditioned the Brembos in black with white vinyl lettering again.
This is the first drive after the alignment shop and WOW! 109,000 on the odo and I've only owned it for about 3,000 of those mile so it was wore out when I got it. The bumpstops were crumbling/gone, torn tie rod boots, a bent strut top mount - all kinds of wear and tear on what turned out to be all original suspension right down to the struts. What a difference!!! I can't wait to put some miles on this summer in some twisties with the top down. It was fun before, I can only imagine now. Too bad it's supposed to spit snow today - that'll have to wait.
I either drive my 01 aero car 6spd or my 04 BMW e46 m3! The 911 is on CCW C10 forged monoblocks 245/45/18 front and 315/30/18 in rear on H&r coilovers!
