Exactly how are you going to make a profit of 10-25k converting a street legal 996 NB into the Flying Lizard 996 WB?
I'm not saying I am going to make a profit of 10-25k..I said some people are making that sort of money by building road legal cup cars in the UK. As I said above I would like to think someone would take it off my hands for what I'm in for at some point...The final product will be a stripped out 996 which will look exactly like an RSR which will be 30-40k cheaper than a GT3...i'd buy it...that being said...no one has done it before...

Put a Hartech 3.9 in that bad boy and you’re putting out near 996.2 GT3 power and torque. It would be very trick to build and have a classic Porsche race car that doesn’t require a racing engine and trans rework every ‘x’ hours! US 996 and 997 Cup cars are $60,000-$90,000 for older cars getting long in the tooth, but in decent fettle.

Zimspeed in Germany has all the correct body parts for conversion. In carbon/kevlar. I have their rear bumper and fender extensions. Otherwise I did my build in "budget", bodywise.

I think it may end up going to Germany where the bodyparts will come from Zimspeed. Not sure yet. Germany is cheaper which is good and will be a fun trip!

Holy ****...great find! I've been trying to find photos of this car! Thank you. I am going to go for either black or white, different rear bumper and spoiler but apart from that!

Quick question for anyone in the know. Were the real RSR's based on the narrow body shell or the wider C4 body?

C4/GT3 chassis. R cars had different subframes to adjust pickup points for the aggressive geometry and height.

A FSI 4.4 litre engine would make it go as good as it looks ! Good luck with the builds in this post .
