Clue #3.

Interesting magnetic sump plug sculpture. Once i got to the oil it looked decent. Also luckily 4 me i drained the rest of the coolant from the drain plug and it was clear. Looks like i wont have to flush the coolant system

Instantaneous. Back end when out on my car when it blew so i clutched and staightened out. I knew the motor was gone imeadiately so with no power breaks or steering i fought it to about 20mph and got into the grass. I kept thinking at $20 a bag for oil dry it might be more in clean up then for a motor

Ha, the oil dry charge is a kick in the dick after grenading a motor to the moon. Really though, could have been so much worse - Ton of oil spurting on the tires or exhaust makes a bad day into who knows what... good save and it looks like you got her off track as fast as you reasonably could.

so its kind of funny i got a ton of compliments from the guys in my group and the instructors on how well i handled the incedent and got off line and off track. I guess because they think u r a beginner that u cant make the correct decision. I have been driving off road and compeditive rock crawing for more then 20 yrs but i dont have the talent yet on the track. I knew i lost the motor in less then a second and reacted instinctually.

i try to explain to the instructors that i know exactly what the car is doing but i just dont know the track. Of course they dont really believe u because im sure they hear the same thing from everyone student. By the 3rd session they r silent as im dictating my actions around the track.

Good luck Man - although it sucks you have to go through it - I’m excited to follow along.

Look forward to ripping it up on track with you when you get it situated.
