Where did you get that data? IMHO, IMS bearing failure is no respecter of transmission choice, but rather, failure is more or less common with the type of bearing in the car. In this case, the 2003 C4S has the highest probability of IMS bearing failure because it has the small single row 6204 bearing. That bearing did not have the proper load capacity in this application. Other factors play into this equation, but load is what kills these bearings. This has been proven with the more robust 6305 "M97" bearing is later M9X cars.

Mine went 100k with a Tip and original IMS. Just recently had it changed.

But the folks here are right...all kinds of excuses to not have this car. You should probably just put it on a truck and send it to Central PA. I’ll watch it for you....

love the silver cars. Drive a silver Raptor for a daily now. Third silver truck in the last 5 years. My Cayenne is silver. And my wife’s Panamera was silver (totaled now)
