Default Mysterious Leak Driver Front Wheel

Hi all,

I have a 99' 996 C2, 100k miles. After a drive today I noticed a fluid underneath the front driver-side wheel. The leaking has stopped, but was leaking a bit while driving by the spray and while sitting the garage for an hour or so. I then remembered I had to brake pretty hard at one point on the way home....I'm thinking this did something.

After reading a ton of forums I've boiled it down to the below.
1. Brake Fluid leak
2. Power Steering leak
3. Shock fluid leak

I checked the brake fluid reservoir and it's close to the MAX fill, maybe slightly below. I also setup a camera underneath, pumped the brakes and didn't see any more come out....

Tomorrow I'm going to remove the bumper, wheel, etc and begin checking hoses.

The suspension I believe is original and the front end does squeak going over bumps. And if I recall correctly last time I had it in the shop they said one side had a small leak...going to call on Monday and see if they have notes on whether it was the front right.

The leak is in the wheel drum, it's sprayed in the wheel well. I took some photos. Pooling up near the control arm and wish bone.

Any thoughts? Where should I start? Any help is appreciated.

Here it was pooling up at the joint.

Maybe someone can see something I'm not.....

@Porschetech3, that's what I'm thinking as well. I'm 99% sure the tech a few months ago said this one has a slight leak anyways. So combined with maybe the abrupt braking the compression said, "heck no".

@Porschetech3 any recommendations for a sure fire way to find out?

I had a strut blow. Right front. It looked like that mess and eventually left a pool of oil on the garage floor. New Bilstein B6 struts all the way around. New top hats, mount bearings, dust covers, etc. Did new tie rods, rotors and pads at the same time cuz while in there....
