I’m having issues.
this thread, all 1000 replies Is 996.
i need the 997.1 S version pictures and tips and tricks
I am happy to help but need to know what is giving you issues ....Have you "attempted" to install ?
There is literally only 1 bolt a 2 sets of plug-n-play wiring connectors that are different than ALL other 997.1 3.8 "S" AOS Systems R&R .....and the directions simply and directly state where they go ...
A picture of a finished UAOS install on a 997.1 3.8 "S" will not help you as the Accumulator , flow regulator, hoses and nipple to throttle body are exactly the same in the same "location" as all 996's ...
BTW :: the instructions also have my cell number for support where you can call/text.. or we could even do video-chat via FB ...

Wow. Helping us at 3:30 am.
I have sent some text via SMS so I hope they went through
I’d love to set up a quick video call. Or if the texts went through maybe we can handle it that way.
I've had the UAOS installed for a minute (on the engine) now, but just now getting the motor back in the car. Tried closing the boot lid and the and it seems like the back of the fan motor housing is impacting the round bit of the UAOS. Do i need to trim the hoses or did I get something installed out of order?
I’ve been out of action since the beginning of the month helping a family member.
My awesome Indy had no issues installing the UAOS Track kit. I replaced the fuel injectors while were in there. I did a Montana drive today after I picked it up. Stopped for lunch and noticed I had the biggest smile on my face in I don’t know how long. Montana and a fine running Porsche is a thing of beauty.
I bought the kit prior to the instructions mentioned near post #969. I’m only going to run +1 qts of oil until I can do the test. Can I buy an oil cap with the holes drilled and fitting installed? Hint, hint. A manometer is reasonably priced. It seems I should always do the ~ 14 LPM test prior to going beyond +1 qts.
Loosen the spring clamp on the diaphragm and rotate the diaphragm from the yellow position to the white position...the release the spring clamp..
To clarify.... Face B(the diaphram) should be rotated around Hose A, so that face B points up? (as compared to as pictured, where it faces the back of the car)
Or are you saying that face B is pointed the correct way, it just physically needs to be higher (but still facing backwards)?
The hoses (Hose A), and Hose C (unpictured, but back of the diaphragm to the throttle body) proscribe the range of motion possible. Just to verify, that should be a straight hose, about 3"s long correct? No bends or anything in the hose itself?
Yes, the diaphragm Face B as you denoted should be higher up to clear the deck lid fan...
The 19mm 3/4 rubber hose from the Accumulator to the diaphragm should be straight ...( it is a bit flexible and comes in a curled roll , but the desired position is straight and can be achieved if oriented correctly by loosening and rotating the hose to diaphragm connection )
@996.x I think I have an extra oil cap already drilled if I can find it...... @TexSquirrel was making some at one time and may have some also..
I'll look to see if I can find my extra one....I made an extra complete Test KIt that I Rented out to those who didn't want to make the kit themselves, but most just wanted to make it them selves and keep it to do periodic testing and have it forever......I haven't seen my Rental Unit in a while, I'll have to hunt for it ....lol
I sold dozens, but my costs went up and demand dropped.
I may still have a couple left.
Let me check tonight.
Yea I haven't done a price increase on the UAOS System since the upgrade to the CNC'd Black Anodized Aluminum Accumulator was used as Standard Equipment on the UAOS System pre-Covid, but unfortunately it is due to increase soon......( but will still be the best performance bargain available bar none )

I almost ordered an oil cap today- $56 for the part and $49 shipping to get it from Orygun to Idaho. I challenged them on the shipping cost and haven’t heard back.
which describes the tooling to use to build a blow by test oil cap.
I was wanting to buy cap prebuilt mainly because you only need two drill bits and then they’re never used again, the plugs he used are close, but not quite correct etc.
I really appreciate the offer but I will make one once I have the right stuff to do it.

Reason: Corrected video link
@996.x Aarons video is hilarious when the engine sucks the rubber glove into it ...LMAOO....He called me in a panic....
Notice on that engine it had 37 inh20 Blow-by at idle ( 42 LPM ) which is WAY WAY too much....Found Bore-Scoring on #6 Cylinder but there was no ticking sounds.....
