There's been a couple of threads on this already, the big challenge is the DME and other electronic management systems that require a metric f*%k-ton of work...

The mechanicals would be fairly straightforward. You'd have to find a home for the intercoolers since they live in the widebody fenders. The real work is the electronics. You'd want to either go to a standalone engine management, or do a full harness/ECU swap.

Couldn't the intercoolers be located in the same place as they are in a GT3?

GT3 is not turbo so no intercoolers.

Oops, my mistake. I got caught up in the fact that it was a Mezger engine and thought it was a turbo.

Add a wing tail like the Old 930 ??
Open up ducts in the fenders and run them into the engine bay to help feed it.

Just buy a turbo casue its a whole metric crap-ton easier? and likely cheaper.

Anything is possible with enough time and money. You should see some of the cars that people shoehorn the turbo into... I was at Rennline earlier this year, and one of their projects was putting a 996TT engine into an early 70's chassis.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Bisimoto car uses a modified m96 engine.

You're right. A 3.4.

Syvecs / AEM Infinity / MaxxECU as ECU and water to air intercoolers so most of the problems are solved. That way I'd do it if I'd do it again.
