Default Any 996 Owners in DC/NOVA area?

I'm considering purchasing my first Porsche and it seems like the 996 is the best value proposition. I've test driven the C2, C4, and C4S and have been researching a lot. Would be really interested in meeting/talking with any 996 owners in my area to get more insight and advice! Thanks, Matthew

I'm located in Alexandria, VA

My 2002 Carrera coupe is my 3rd (and Best) 911. I'm in Alexandria and glad to compare notes on Porsche-hunting.

Katie's Coffee in Great Falls on Saturday mornings (if spring ever comes), or the Potomac region of PCA, offer lots of friendly feedback to fuel your search. Enjoy!

Head south on 29 this weekend until you get to Virginia International Raceway. Porsche club racing this weekend. plenty of people, including a friend or two, who can provide their knowledge. Plus you get to see a bunch of cool Porsche's wind around a great track.

I'm looking for a shop that will change out my hydraulic cylinders for my convertible top. I have two rebuilt cylinders and need to have them installed. Stopped by the Porsche dealership in Arlington yesterday and they said no way no how. The parts "must" be purchased from Porsche. Do you know of any indy shops that will install?
