I've been using German Auto Group in Alexandria and they've installed parts I've purchased from FCPEuro.

Also Intersport Performance has gotten pretty good marks in Tyson's Corner area.

Friend of mine and I bought a C2 and C4s, respectively, about year ago. He purchased one with most of the suspension components and maintenance work done, including half-cage for harness for track driving. Mine did have some work done, but I did not like the suspension (H&R Street Performance Coilover) so I replaced them with Ohlins and found a few other things that needed attention. It did end up costing quite a bit more, but on the plus, mine has a rebuilt 3.8 engine in it. All in all, my friend came out WAY ahead on the $ spent (he spent ~25k on the car and maintenance, so far), so be picky and make sure to do PPI through a good shop.

Any MD/DC/VA 996 owners have manual sport seats or even fixed GT3 buckets that a 6'6" 250lb guy can try on? I'm trying to see if losing the power function of the stock/sport seats would create any more head room or if I can fit in a GT3 bucket with my 36" waist. I can travel to you or offer lunch if you want to swing by my restaurant during the day

I have Recaro Sportster CS, which fits me about the same as 997 GT2 seats, perhaps it is slightly wider by half of an inch. You are welcome to try it but the way Recaro seat base is, i think headroom is tiny bit worse than stock power seats, and I am about 5’11” and 190 lbs.

Late response but I'm in DC (Dupont/Logan) and happy to chat 996 or let you check mine out. I go out to most of the local autocrosses and sometimes Katie's on Saturday mornings when there's no driving event. I'm in the white, stock looking but slightly lower 996.2 C2, usually black wheels.
