Will these rims / tires fit my 2000 Carrera 4 Cab?
Hi guys.
I'm running 18" rims on my C4 (10.5 rear and 8.0 front) and have been disappointed in the selection of 18" rims on the market. I came across a nice set of 19"rims and tires on Craigslist but want to be sure they'll fit my ride. Can someone offer advice? Thanks so much.
Rims:
19x8.5 front
19x11.5 rear
5x130 bolt pattern
Tires:
Pirelli P-Zero
235/35R19 front
305/30R19 rear

Thanks for the reply. Primarily I want to know if its a feasible fitment. I've been reading about some rim and tire combos can cause handling issues or rubbing. If the answer is that the rims and tires are not problematic, then I'm pretty lost at that point. I'm new to the world of offsets and spacers. Any and all information and advice you can give would be appreciated.

Its more about the offsets than anything else. You need to find what the stock offsets are for C4 as well as the wheel width....that will drive whether you have rubbing either on inside or outside suspension or wheel well...there should be some calculators or something on line to figure this out.

Offsets, camber, ride height. Those wheels are getting big enough that the guys can't help you if you don't ask for the offsets. The seller should know. Not all offsets can be fixed with spacers.

+2 on needing the offsets. Also although I have a C2 it's my understanding that the tires on a C4 need to be within a few % in dia. of each other. The front tires you listed measure approx 25.5" dia and rears 26.2". That's less than a 3% difference so should be ok but hopefully another C4 owner will chime in and verify.

Hi all and thanks for the input. I've done my homework on the offsets and here's what I found:
Front (current): 18" 50mm offset
Front (potential): 19" 55mm offset
Rear (current): 18" 65mm offset
Rear (potential): 19" 67mm offset
So my goal is to determine if I need spacers or not

I used the following web sites to assist me in determining fitment of my new wheels:

The higher the offset the farther in the wheels sit from the hub. So spacers actually reduce the offset, you can't really increase it. Thee wheels will probably work with your car depending the size of the tires that you run. It is possible that you could add small spaces on the front but more ikely you will need to roll your fenders for a little more clearance. I rolled mine years ago.

I am running a similar setup on a narrow body 996. I have some slight rubbing issues at the rear for whatever side someone is sitting on (usually me the driver). Maybe I need to go on a diet!. I did push the front out to match the rear more closely with 20mm spacers on the front. Given the slight rubbing on the rear on big dips/bumps I plan to roll the fenders. Thinking of using this tool:
