Yes, the red one down here in the Houston area.
But with no driveway at the time I decided to wait and then it disappeared.
I would have bought it as a long term project.

He didn’t call it a Porsche, he called it a replica.

I just saw a video on FaceBook of this car.
It's an outlaw as far as I'm concerned.

Is the owner, Martyn, on here?

It isn't a replica or a modified (outlaw) replica either. Modified replica is an oxymoron. It's a very nice kit car and nothing more.

I don’t know about anybody else, but I like it!
I really like Porsche decals on the side.
I’ve been tempted to add them to my car.

Correct, and that's why I never tell people it's a Porsche when asked.
It's a kit car replicating the 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster!

There, feel better?

Looks like a car whose owner replaced body panels and didn’t bother to paint them. But if it makes you happy, and “outlaw”, enjoy.

Another opinion is that anyone who builds an outlaw wouldn’t care what anyone else thinks. It’s kind if the point, after all, isn’t it?

Looking for consensus or support on an internet forum is a fools errand, in my opinion. Tech guidance, information sharing and comraderie with people with common interests, hell yeah.

There have been some good articles recently about the 356 and 911 that touched on outlaws in either Panorama or Total 911 (both decent rags for porscheheads, btw).

There was a guy from the UK that was on here at one point CLR or something like that, with a lightweight 996 that comes close for what I’d think of in this vein for the 996 generation.
