Zanzibar Red
#34
My Zanzibar red 2002 Carrera 2 is for sale (was more as a feeler seeing as I had found a 997S I liked). There is someone visiting the car this weekend...I have to say though, I am very tempted to take the add down and keep this car!
Despite being a very photogenic color, I snapped some pictures last weekend while on a trip.

Honestly there is nothing not to like. The car has only 24 000 Miles and is like new in and out, drives like a dream...but....I found a 997S that is very reasonably priced (will not depreciate more than where it's at either) which led me to throw my car up for sale on a "I've got nothing to loose" basis. That being said, I do not NEED a 997 in any way thought so If the car doesn't sell this weekend I will most likely take the add down and enjoy!

I've never seen this color in real life, but after reading this thread and pulling up some images from Google, I'm smitten! This color rocks. Makes my seal grey look pedestrian at best

Zanzibar is nice, though I'm sort of partial to Orient Red...
Just finding a red 996 can be a chore, though the color seems more popular in turbos. I was looking 3.5 years ago and literally could not find a nice Guards Red coupe. That search eventually led me to my current car - and a color that was not on my search radar. Though Orient was the standard red metallic that followed Arena (and was then replaced by Ruby), it also seems fairly rare.
Personally, I'm glad I did not go with my Seal Gray original plan. Beautiful for sure, but they get lost in the sea of black, gray, silver, and dark blue 996s and 997s.

I've got a Zanzibar Red which took me
A year to find, coupe C2, cinnomin brown
Interior and only 24,500 miles
I would post up a pic but, I operate from a iPhone
I'm in Florida and I love the Orange look in the sun
