Default Dual fan hack question. Help!

Coming from a mostly mechanical background in wrenching I have almost no knowledge in wiring. That being said my coolant temps are hitting a hot 225F in stop and go traffic. After cleaning out the front rads, 160F thermostat, new water pump and switching to a new coolant reservoir cap I was hoping this would fix the problem at least a little bit, it didn't really do anything. Now I've come to the conclusion that I need to install a switch to control the fans since they have a mind of their own. I've looked at a couple how to's and know where the #20 and #22 relay's are, I just want to know how to run a wire to them while keeping the stock function of the fans turning on by themselves. Where do I connect this wire and HOW do I connect it. Pictures would be a god send...
Help this noob out!

Before you go hacking the fans I would have the cooling system thoroughly checked by a pro (if you are, pardon please). I've been driving in 106 degree stop and go traffic and it never went over 190.

Do you think there could still be air in the system? The bleeder seems to be working fine as it is raised when the engine is hot, I also switched out to a 997 reservoir cap just in case my 996 cap was faulty.

100°+ down here in Houston and in 1 hours worth of stop and go traffic
My temps are still at the leading edge of the 180° mark.
You shouldn’t be getting that high!
FYI my water pump and thermostat was replaced about 30K/4 years ago when the IMS Solution was installed.
Coolant reservoir was replaced a couple of years ago.
The rest is factory original.

As sasilverbullet said, you may want to have the coolant system checked, like him, I have been driving in 109 deg temp in stop and go traffic on the highway (mostly stopped) and my temp has never breached the 0 of the in 180 mark. I have the oem cap and thermostat.

Are your radiator fans turning on at all? I think this is my problem. Mine don't turn on until 225F. This is why I'd love to turn them on manually at a much lower temp.

Yes, my fans kick on while I’m driving and run occasionally while stopped.

Mine are only kicking in at 225F or if I turn the AC on.

Someone can chime in on which parts to fix (if this is the fan or a relay functions or something else).

However there is a low speed and a high speed. I believe the low speed the fan turns on (not sure at what temp) and once it reaches 220 or 225 it kicks on both fans and go into high speed. Sounds like your low speed is not working.

Edit: I found this https://www.renntech.org/forums/topi...-step-by-step/

I've heard my low speed fans ever turn on only when I have AC on.

How do you know it’s 225F? The last white line, well after the 180 on my car is only 206F. Have you measured with Durametric?
