Finally found my car!
Single owner 2003 6 sp Carrera 2 convertible, blue with Tan Interior. All records and engine replacement at 28,000 miles ( 46000 now). To say I’m thrilled would be a massive understatement!! Time to change my S/N to foundmy996

Love it, thanks for the pictures! Any more info on the lost engine? Or the engine that is in there now? It is just good for info sharing. Welcome!

Thanks! Yes at 28000 miles he had an IMS failure, got a completely new engine. Was part of the IMS settlement and got reimbursed to the tune of $23,450 or so too, good for him. Replaced in 2011.

Welcome and congrats!
if you figure out how to change your screen name, please let me know. I’ve been wanting to change mine to my real name (I hate the anonymity in this day and age of the Internet).
BTW: I had a Boxster S with same exterior and interior color combo you have. It’s a very nice combo.

Sorry I'm almost certain its Lapis Blue and you were right, Savannah Beige. I have an M3 ( you'll see it in one of the pics) and they are very similar in color

It is Lapis Blue for sure. I mean mine was anyway. Funny thing on Lapis Blue - it the right sunlight, it can look purple. I was driving my hairdressers car and some redneck guys rolled down the window and yelled “wrong color, boy, wrong color.” I didn’t discover this fact until later on. Then I laughed at what might have been funny to see their reaction had they had the courage to come up to me and actually start a conversation about the color...
And also, Lapis Blue can also look black, typically at low light levels, such as at night, but with the benefit of not actually being black.

It doesn’t look like lapis blue to me, but I’ll defer to you until you pick it up. These paints do change quite a bit in certain light and at different angles. There will be a paint code on the sticker in the frunk...Enjoy the ride!
