Take it from me. Don't sell your Porsche

I love my car. I have dumped a ton of cash into it yet I love it.
On a semi-related note, I saw a so-so '99 996 with 109,000 miles, a taco wing and aftermarket wheels fetch $41,000 at last weeks' Barrett Jackson event in West Palm Beach.

Mine’s going in next week for a general inspection, then IMS, RMS, clutch and probably flywheel. I’m the original owner and decided to finally replace the potential grenades at 64k miles. May do water pump as well, and hopefully should be good to go for a looooong time thereafter.
I had a green BMW 528i (‘97) which I declared my ATF when I finally gave it to a friend with over 400k. But this little black 996 is tugging at my heart strings for the number one position. Dunno.......

Whoa! So I wonder what my not so-so ‘99 996 with 78k miles, aftermarket wheels, and a stack of preventivite receipts would fetch.....

I dunno, I sold this 3.2 Carrera Targa in 2005 for under $20k and most people would say, “I bet you regret that,” but I don’t. The one great thing about 911s is that they are rare and special enough to be sought after, but common and cheap enough to attain at any level. I moved to a Boxster S and now have a 996. Back when I had this car, the 996 was the new kid on the block and I would post in the 996 forum expressing how I thought the 996 was great, even back then.
