Okay, but how can you program a key into the PAS unit if you don't know the code to the key? Unless you can read the key and get the code? Sounds like snake oil or you have some sort of key reading black box

Thanks for the offer but im good.

Not that I don't believe you, I'd just like to know the technical explanation behind your comments.

Sounds like you've got some devices that allow you to read a keys code.

Just wait, just so we are on the same page are you referring to the transmitter to open and close or the immobiliser?

I know the immobiliser pill can be recoded, are you saying you can also recode used keys without the code to open and close the car remotely?

Hmm my indy shop said they can't do it anymore and dealer is the only option. I'm in the Chicago area so if anyone has insight on this I have a new fob and blade ready to go.

Insight - Go to the Porsche dealer? There really is no other way. Dig up the lock box buried in your back yard, fill a wheelbarrow with cash, schedule your appointment.

So what you are saying is you know how to crack the security key codes for all Porsche's? Do you do other cars as well? Ferrari...Mercedes...Lexus...BMW's? I wonder what Porsche Stuttgart would think about that, plus all other Porsche owners worldwide?

I think what he's saying is that the key ID can be read from the key. That's different from encoding it to your car.

That is what I'm questioning. Four parts to the key. Fob, laser cut key, circuit board that communicates with the immobilizer to lock/unlock car, and the passive RFID pill that resides in the key fob. So he has found a way to duplicate a key and circuit board that will lock/unlock the car....without the specific key code on the tag? I'm not taking about programming the key to the car, but he has found a way to figure out what is transmitted to the car to lock/unlock the car?

Thanks for the offer to the forum members. I'll need another key once I get my car up and running.
Where are you located?

I wondered the same thing and smuko is keeping quite tight lipped on their procedure!

Game changer if you can buy a second hand key and re-program it without the tag - until I have more detail I remain dubious...

Upon further research tools like VVDI2 can read the HEX code of a key.

Smuko - I also have only one key for my car. I’d like to have another fully functioning one. I understand the key consists of 4 parts, Please explain in simple terms what I need to provide in order for you to do this, and what you provide, and the cost. Thanks.
if you are not comfortable replying in the forum, please PM me.

Default used key fob

Is it possible to buy a used key fob and have it programmed to the car or does it have to be a pristine one? A used one is 75usd while a new one is 175usd...
