Wow Pete going over to the British side. Does your Spitfire have twin SU carbs like my 1960 Bugeye Sprite? I owned my Sprite for almost 30 years before I sold it. Best of luck with your new project..

Yes and Yes. The prince of darkness decided to turn the headlights off on the way home from dinner one dark Friday night...still haven't figured it out. 2 owners that I'm aware of.

Now that we are happily derailed - Sneaky Pete - that license plate is G.O.L.D. Had a real "LOL" over here.

In this thread a derailment is fine. Hope to get my wood stove producing a little extra heat so I can work on my Porsche sometime today and replace the ignition switch. Thanks for the replies.

Default Frozen 2003 Porsche Boxster 986 Ignition Switch

Can anyone pleae help me. A dumb SOB previous owner put lock tight on the screws holding the 2003 Porsche Boxster Ignition Switch. It is hard to get into it in the first place, but to use lock tight is undescribale! Is there anyway to get it out as I need to replace it. The only thing that I can think of is taking a Dremel rotation saw and cut it out but that will take time. Any suggestions please. I have even tried brake fluid on a Q-Tip to no avail. I do not want to use a small torch flame as that might cause more harm than it is worth. kojac@triad.rr.com

@Kojac , Off the top of my head; Have you tried a heat gun or hair dryer instead of a torch? If it's blue loctite instead of red that might work. I think red requires more heat.

Could you fit a handheld impact driver in there?

You might try the tip of a soldering iron against the screw to heat it up.
