Default strut/shock?

I took my car for its annual test and found that the left rear strut/shock is leaking. I need to replace both of them. I am struggling as to what I should order. I would like to get them from Pelican parts but what do I ask for? The whole thing including the spring etc. or simply the part that is leaking? If you know of a better place than Pelican then please tell me. In other words, what would you do in my position? Thanks. A few recommended links to what I really need would suffice.

You can replace the struts only. Check the bump stop condition, mine were about to disintegrate when I r placed my struts.
I went with Bilstein B8 option. I think B4 is direct factory replacement, B6 is heavy duty and B8 is sport (normally for lowered suspension).
Koni is another good option.

How are the 2 fronts doing? If they are not in good shape, you can consider the M030 or X74 option.

If you want specifically from pelican, here is the shock only page:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog..._pg1.htm#item0

as stated above, B4 is OE, B6 Performance and B8 is for lowering springs.

I would also recommend the ROW M030 set ($1.6k from suncoast porsche) as it has a lot of values. Definitely replace the bump stops.

Definitely a good time to replace the upper strut bearings as well.

It would be helpful to understand what you want to do - just a stock replacement or something else? How do you use your car - street, autocross, track events, etc. Do you want stock handling, more stiff, stock ride height, lowered?

I concur with cds72911, it all depends on that you want to do with the car's handling and performance at this point since you have to replace those rear worn shocks.

Well, I have a set too that you can have for shipping cost if arrangement with SneakyPete does not work out. Offer opens for anybody who wants them too.

Mine is a bit higher in mileage, I think around 80K when I removed them. They work fine when removed 2 years ago. They are removed because I lowered my car with techart springs and bilstein B8.

The best price/availability I found on Bilsteins was from TireRack. I tried to buy them from someone else but they only sent me one - with no promise on when I’d get the other...
