Default 2000 C2

I love my 2000 C2. The car gets complements every time I take it out.

Now what is the chance that someone is selling a car exactly the same with a white wingless 996 Aero with black wheels

agreed; someone above mentioned the holes in the body detracting; I disagree; I think it looks more aggressive, along with the wider rear end

on your car it looks really good either way. the stance and black wheels just look nice. What wheels are those?

What are the specs on those wheels? Offset? I found a set on C/L, but they were 7.5x18 and 9x18s. I like the look of them.

Really nice 911! What color is your car?

Absolutely. The purest, least-compromised design of the bunch. In fact, I think it's fair to say the MK1 996 is the ONLY 911 that has ever been a pure, clean sheet design. One could even argue (with some stretching) that the original 901 was compromised by needing to use some 356 parts, and evolve from its look. Everything through the 993 was hamstrung by using at least some of the same parts of the 901 body. The MK2 996 is compromised because its goal was to "fix" the 996 without actually changing anything expensive, which is never a fair fight for the designers. The 997 was an attempt to copy the 993 with 996 mechanicals, and the 991 is just an evolution of the 997. The MK1 996 was the ONLY time they've had the ***** to say "hey we're trying something new!" and customers hated it. Oh well. Well, actually, customers loved it; *purists* hated it. All the people that bitch that the MK1 headlights look like the Boxster are thinking about it the wrong way. The 911 isn't STUCK looking like it's cheap little brother the Boxster; the Boxster GETS to look like its handsome big brother, the 911. And by the way where are all the whiners when the halo 918 has basically the same headlight shape as a "lowly" Cayman?

color is Zenith blue metallic. Wheels are 7.5x18 ET50, 10x18 ET65 with 15mm spacers F/R

Thank you for the reply. I am glad I did not purchase them. The wheels I found on C/L were the same front wheels, but the rears were 9x18 ET 52. Much different. Considering that I have stock twists that are 10x18 ET 65, it would seem counterintuitive to buy smaller. It is too bad really because they look great on your car.

Mk1 aero, with the M030 lowered 12mm, in a bright color. Snarky, fun, $$$$. Everyone thinks these cost $40-60k, when I tell them what I paid, they think I'm lying. A fantastic package. My only dislike is the amber lamps next to the headlights.

I agree with everything you wrote except for the headlights. They have now grown on me and will eventually be a one year only collectible item. Think split window Corvette (people complained about the split windows so much that dealers removed them upon request once the 64s came out).

The amber lamps don't really bug me, but they are a design element that just didn't need to be done that way. It smacks of economy part sourcing, unlike much of the rest of the car, even though a lot of stuff is same as Boxster.
