By chance am I missing an adjustment here?
FYI factory bumper to exhaust tip for MK2 is 20mm, don't move them up too high.

John & Dan, thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully i'll have time this week to get her up and do some tweaking. The OCD is strong on this one. I'll probably end up doing the motor mounts anyway. One thing seems to always lead to another.

To be clear, were talking about the band clamps that are directly behind the bumper/license plate with very easy access without even lifting the car, right?

No, those band clamps attach the catalytic converters outputs to the inlets of the mufflers. There are two more smaller clamps on the outlet of the exhaust where the tips attach. On the stock exhaust, this is like a ball and socket joint. Loosen the clamp and the tip is able to move in a limited range. You MIGHT be able to get to them without removing the bumper, depending upon how it was last assembled (and if you live in an area without lots of corrosion).

Yup #22. The fit is kind of like a ball/socket. Once the band is loose you can move things around a bit and re-tighten. Mine were pretty rusted so I cut them off and replaced them.

If you've got rusted clamps, stick them in vinegar for a few days - cleans them up really well.

I did this for my exhaust clamp sleeves - but then replaced them anyway haha.
