Default Finally, my own Porsche 996!

I finally found the right car for me, an Arctic Silver Carrera 4 with black interior and approx. 110 000 miles on the odometer. As mentioned in this thread, it was located over 1100 miles away from where I live, so it was quite a trip driving it home. For those of you who have never been i Norway, the scenery in the Northern parts is almost worth the trip alone - let alone driving your new Porsche through it

A few pics (from the ad, though)

The engine was replaced with a 3.6L about 31.000 miles ago. A Carrera Power kit was also installed while replacing the engine. The gearbox has been overhauled in 2015, and the car itself is generally in a good condition. Gemballa lowering springs have also been fitted, these provide the Perfect blend between ride height and handling.

There are a few marks here and there, but nothing extraordinary if you consider the age and mileage of the car, and the fact that it has been a DD. It drives and handles great, and the sound from the flat-six is just incredible.

Further plans include deleting the rear windshield wiper, adjusting the handbrake and replacing the window regulator mechanism, as this failed just before I came to retrieve the car.

Looks like you have the optional OEM large exhaust tips... makes the rear of the 996 look much better IMO.

Congrats!

Pleanty info on the regulator replacement, DIY jobs on this car are very satisfying (most of the time!).

Ps great car
I don't have the part # but I bought a set on ebay for my last 996 for around $80 if I remember right... I just kept searching for used tips every few days and eventually a set popped up that they didn't know what they had. They're very easy to spot the difference once you see a couple pics of them compared to the standard ones.
