Holy crap. That's a bit radical. What's left for Ruf or Gemballa or TechArt?
Anyway, what's the source of the pics?

Personally, I don't care about the heavy end of the 997 product range, I want to hear about Porsche delivering a 2800lb, 380hp 997 with no sunroof, no power steering, no leather, no froufrou.

Not sure how I feel about that.......

I like the round headlights, because I think that 911's should have the round headlights, but i'll have to wait for production photos....

thanks for the pics.....

But i'm with you Carrera GT , more cars like the 996 GT RS should come out of the factory....

Looks like a big heavy car. I hope they improved the build quality.

Love the front and side views. The rear however, from the small picture, looks like it needs some help. The new profile of the 996/997 makes the tea tray spoiler not look right, but something more like a wing looks better. I really like the original GT3 wing.

Autobahn, are you sure those aren't spy photos of a Nissan 350z? It looks too much like a Decepticon to be a 911... can the car be folded up into an airplane or robot?

My next car may end up being another 993... except I bet they will get the performance part right so I may grudgingly give in.

I wonder if this isn't actually a picture of a new 987 Boxster... the following article from autoweek suggests that it might be:

Also, I have heard that those teardrop headlights are a disguise, that the actual headlights will be elliptical once again. (Of course that may just be wishful thinking). Also, perhaps that front grill is just a tack-on disguise as well.

We should spend as much time as possible speculating.

Photos of boxster coupe show a much smaller "wing" window which is blacked out. These photos are of a rear-engined, not mid-engined, car.
