Mick,

How is your day going? Sleeping fine? Focusing fine? I cannot imagine how anxious you are!

Default in an out...

Thanks ....

I won't have it long before it goes to my shop.... I need to make it mine with some sublte changes, I can't wait!!!

I hope this forum enjoys mods, as I am comming from the 997 forum where much more then an amber lense change and you got lynched by the purists
Kidding, some great owners there but I was in the 1-2% that had a heavily modded 997 and enjoy modding...

Some amazing cars you all have here in this section of Rennlist, from the Rufs to the gt2's and gt2 conversions, to the straight up bone stock 993TT's, all just top notch. I am a guy that apprecaites the Purists as well as the need to make a car unique.....

Fantastic news!

Your new car has already been modded - from that standpoint it won't ever be a purist bone stock car! So you should feel free to mod away!

Some further ideas include Ruf A-pillar kit, headlight washer delete, Ruf brake calipers / brakes, Ruf side-view mirrors ... just helping out planning as you wait for the car (!)

Have to agree with Marin on this point. It's one of the lesser reasons I liked the idea of buying an already-modified vehicle. You're not worrying about repainting the bumpers, etc when they need a refresh.

The aero mirrors on Kevin's car (KMY) and center exhaust on Steve's (ca993twin), Greg's (C2S), and Kevin's vehicles look tremendous.

Beauty!
I had sea blue in my 997tt, it's almost black in person.

"The aero mirrors on Kevin's car (KMY) and center exhaust on Steve's (ca993twin), Greg's (C2S), and Kevin's vehicles look tremendous."

Thanks. Greg's TurboR had a Ruf FACTORY CTR-2 center exhaust, and was the inspiration for mine. I believe that Greg's car was one of the very early Turbo R builds and fitting the CTR-2 exhaust was too complicated and expensive. His may be the only factory-installed center exhaust Turbo R in existence, but I believe the factory exhaust is off the car, and a simpler system is installed. Greg? Chime in and correct me.

Steve,

I remember seeing the video of Greg's car that Javier had taken a couple of years ago. The car sounded like a jet taking off !

Where did you source your center exhaust CTR-2 bumper from ? Was this one of the bumpers that Scott made ?

Yes, Scott is a good friend of mine, and his bumpers are very fine quality. Too bad he can't be coaxed into making more of them.
