Me too ;-)

There are a few on the forum - including some with rear center exhaust which adds a fair amount of drama in my opinion!!

Mine is at the tech as we speak getting its long awaited body work (front / rear bumpers + a-pillar kit). Will post pics when complete.

Cheers.

I have loved my Ruf Turbo R for about 7 years now. Its a driver... 132,000 miles. And... its has that CTR-2 styled center exhaust mentioned by Marin. I wish I knew the approximate number of Turbo Rs in the USA and world wide. I'm guessing about 50? 75 total? Anybody have a better estimate?

Default the Grail

to me these are the HOLY GRAIL of P cars, in the $ range I can possibly consider when it comes to considering the car I have always wanted...

I would love a white one .....

Truly amazing machines...

I saw the black one sold by a board member here back about 1+ years back but beyond that slim pickens if these ever come up...

Anyone have one thay maybe looking to sell, white please

Love the fact you have 130K on a turbo R that is quality... so safe to say these cars car run well or has that been an expensive 130K miles?

anyone else out there with one?

They come up here and there - not that often but not impossible to find - I got mine via a Porsche dealership that had it on consignment summer 2011 (I was looking for a 964 turbo 3.6 - but could not take a pass on this car!). One had changed hands a few months prior to that in Canada (arena red I believe) and before that on this forum in 2010 I believe.

Steve's car is like my car in that he spends zero on maintenance.
Mods on the other hand run a pretty penny......

Beautiful. I also love the ducts, Im thinking of doing that to my turbo. Also, are those the 18s or 19s on it? It sits a bit low

What would it take $$$ wise to get a well cared for Turbo R, in the 30-45K mile range?

I think I am starting the hunt, I was close on a few 993 Turbos (few grand apart on the red one at RUF Auto Center in Dallas) but the more I think about what I want/need the Turbo R is my ultimate dream car as any stock 993TT I had explored I have visions of modding towards that direction of a Turbo R...

My estimate would be about a $30-40K premium over a similiar stock 993 Turbo.

So, lets say a 30,000 mile Turbo is mid $70's.....then I'd say the Turbo R is in the low $100's.

Let's see what others (more knowledge than me) have to say.

Well, keep in mind, I think the retail Ruf R engine conversion was about $40,000. So, I think the "asking price" for this example, with only 35,000 miles, is pretty fair:

And for your "real thing" comment, be ready to pay for a true RUF VIN car. Probably close to $200K in the real World.
