I hope they don't catch the guy. It would mean I would have to return to Las Vegas for the trial I suppose, and a sharp stick in the eye is more appealing to me. The car was only there because we were on our way to Teluride from Santa Barbaral via Yosemite. I was going to ship the car from there to MD.
The car doesn't look better than before because it looked new before. It looks new again. The windshield is new which is nice. All the inner and outer seals were replaced by someone who knew how. Mechanically, the car is better than the car I would have bought had I not done the leakdown. Fresh top end and all the other stuff I described earlier in this thread.
The pictures of the damaged car are on the 993 site under the heading "Finally I can post pictures...maybe". The problem is the pictures I took in Vegas were with the camera set at highest resolution. Most of the pictures that I took are refused as file too large. Being a 66 yr old semi Luddite can be a bit of a handicap, on the other hand, I don't go to work anymore.....chris

Glad you got your car back, but sorry about what happened. I do not understand some people.
I do not know the whole story, so I will have to to some homeworke to get up to speed.
I will remember not to take a nice sar to vegas, thats for sure.

Chris,
I'm glad that you finally got it back and are enjoying it. Also glad to hear that Robert and crew at Lufteknic did a stellar job, but that was to be expected.
Now go put as many miles on it as you can, these cars are meant to be driven! And do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions.

FYI, the best way to post pics is not to upload the files, but to upload them onto a photo sharing site (I use photobucket), and then you past the photo url into your Rennlist post. That way you don't have to resize the pics for Rennlist which is a PIA if they are in high resolution.

Beautiful!
I temporarily swapped rides with a friend (my Arena Red 993TT for his AM DB9), and your pics remind me how much I can't wait to get her back...
