Nope..almost perfect. If you would have a fence around it, that would have been perfect!!!

You do exactly what I do...and my wife has stopped complaining that its about a zillion miles away, she understands.

Cheers,

MIke

Amen, brother. I loop parking lots looking for that perfect spot- a single=10 points, wall on one side =5 points, compact spots=-15 points! Lol

I will typically drop my girlfriend off at the front door, then go to find a remote spot. Of course she thinks I'm being a gentleman.....

Plus, the extra walking is "healthy".

I even take into consideration the orientation of the sun, during the driving season, so my sunshade works the best to give the cabin the most shade and protection.

You are definitely not alone. I won't even take the Porsche if I think the parking is going to be a pain. The KC group gets together for bfast every Saturday morning and parking is always a point of discussion.

I even park my daily driving Ford Explorer in the same fashion. I just don't like door dings.

When my wife parks her car in our garage, the kids (and kids friends) exit the car prior to pulling in, or exit from the driver's side, as not to come anywhere near the Porsche parked in the garage. House rule.

the worst is when some jealous a$$hole in some 1992 corsica parks next to you just to be a jerk. I had this happen to my audi S4 once. I came out and inspected the entire car, Noticed a door ding, went back in and demanded that the owner of the corsica be paged. After 20 minutes they never appeared so I left and waited in the parking lot for another 20 mins. No one.

Lets just say their door ding probably cost more to repair than mine. But at least I left a note.

part of owning these cars.
have had rednecks in suv's, and trucks park inches away just to be jerks.
but actually the worst is the older driver in a old 70-80's domestic who tend to swing their doors wide open to get out, with no ill intensions.
shouldn't retaliate though parealtor, bad for karma...
Just need a good paintless dent removal guy - I don't worry as much knowing what they can do.

I actually think some people park close because they want to check out the car, but are too lazy to walk over to it.

However, in the factory they put these space-warping black holes in each 911 that causes any other automobiles in the parking lot to be irresistibly attracted to them. The highest attraction factor seems to be old pickup trucks and cars with oversized doors.......

Oh yeah for sure....you are not alone, brother!

I'd park on the moon if I could! And yeah, I also have dropped the GF at the door (ever the ahhhem....Gentleman!) while I look for somewhere appropriate within 1000 yards to park.

As far as the Corsica...ahhhh...Karma being Karma aside...anyone stupid enough to leave a ding on an S4 or the like, then remain parked there...deserves a bit of "mental recalibration." God help them if I should find a similar ding on the Twin!
