Adam,
That is quite a nice post-purchase inspection, and they obviously know what they are talking about.
Corner balance and alignment at $1100 seems VERY VERY high in my experience.
It usually takes 3-4 hours with the last two with me sitting in the car reading a book.
When you get a chance shoot me an email with your particulars and I will put you into the Andial Registry.

Pricing is as follows (this could go up or down a bit depending on the breaks). The turbo removal, reinstallation and rebuild will be approximately 5000$ Brakes will be approximately 2000$. Full corner weight, ride height and alignment adjustment will be about 1100$. The gearing change (depending on what else I find in the transmission that requires attention) plus some other work in the area will be approximately 8000$. We will need approximately half down (8000$) to get parts rolling and to get the turbos out and to the facility for evaluation. As soon as you know what wheels or at least the tires you want to run (tires being the most important component of what I need to get the gearing worked out) I can get the gears coming in.

If you have ANY questions about anything I will be more than glad to work with you. If you want any further assistance with wheel and tire selection I am at your service. I really want you to make safe choices on these items but I want you to be happy with want you get as well and anything I can do to help I will do to the best of my ability.
hey adam you're definitely paying a premium for all this. 16k and that's without the body kit and paint job. hey if money isn't an issue go for it. you'll have a great car and one that you and many of us will admire.

I would offer that you want to be sure the turbo rebuild doesn't result in someone changing housings, turbine or compressor wheels because they think different/bigger/newer is better. Seal replacement and check-over only will do nicely.

While I think that BBS e88's are a classic wheel for a classic car (I have them on blackie), if you're really intent on having an Andialaruf you might also consider their wheels. They had been difficult to find in the past, but if you're doing other RUF work that should make it easier in sourcing them directly from RUF.

not street legal in Germany! Race wheels don't have TÜV type approval.

BBS has street legal 3 piece but don't know for sure what the code is.

I would go with 996TT wheels

Absolutely correct, Scott. But ... if one's going to pop for a complete CTR2 body kit the wheels at least fit the rest of the look. Might be the only body these wheels actually look right on (in 18's only). And, FWIW, I had both e88's and RUF's for my turboR ............ and virtually never ran the RUF's. But they are "correct" for the car.

If you're going to run the car in Germany on US/military plates not sure TuV approval matters.

It doesn't, that's why we can run open pipped 930's around blowing flames & whatever setups we want without being subject to the TUV. Its also how back in the day a certain count was able to run a 917 on the streets with Alabama plates on it when the TUV said they wouldn't allow it on the streets.

I'm going to have the Blackbird in Germany in a few months, and if it has US plates - you're pretty much good to go. My buddy just ran one of his 911's down to his place in Sicily for storage, and again, no issues as it has US plates.
