Cool The Black Pearl is on it's way to Pfaffenhausen

Ok guys I've been holding this to myself for way too long. It's now official: My precious "Black Pearl" as I call her is on her way to Pfaffenhausen. The transport company came to pickup the car last week. Things have been hectic lately, I just turned 30 this Saturday (April 10th) and so this was my birthday present . As you probably know I've been debating this subject to death both in my own mind and with others (particularily RLers). I learnt a great deal doing so and I believe that I finally made the right decision. If you are going through the same process, you can learn a great deal by reading some of my threads on the subject:

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...uning-ruf.html

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...ade-costs.html

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...questions.html

Many helpful RLers chimed in and shared their opinion. I just want to collectively thank you all for helping me out in making an informed decision. It wasn't easy. Is this place great or what?

Sharing some pictures of the day the Black Pearl left home .

And for those of you who doesn't know where Pfaffenhausen is all I can say is that it is in southern Germany. It's also the home of a company who tunes Porsches for a living. Need I say more ->

Congrats Viggo ! Can't wait to see the final product. I'm assuming you're going with the Turbo R upgrade. Do you plan on sourcing some CTR2 bumpers ?

bb, you really helped me in making an informed decision. Come delivery time I will make a new thread in which I will also shortlist the people who contributed to the final product. You are one of them. Being on the dark side already, maybe it was easier for you to convice me?

Thanks gbm, I have the front one already and the rear is coming in.. That (among other things) will be my winter project.

I am doing the TurboR conversion and some other minor bits and pieces.

Pickup is scheduled for May 12th. Our cars will end up twins (or at least siblings) !

Thanks Louis, I know you are not the biggest turbo fan but I'll give you a ride in the TurboR and I bet you'll change your mind! The moment I first drove a 993TT I was hooked.

Happy birthday buddy!

Will do Patrick. I know you fought long and hard to get your TurboR and I'm really glad you did. I have a feeling I will be trying to make a European version of that avatar of yours. I really like it !

^^ As I told you earlier V, I got the same kind of help from JJayB, Jean, Phelix, ca993twin MOD500, leonsamonas and others when I was going through the same thought process. So let's just call it a little pay-back. Plus I just like spending other people's hard earned Euros - and it's good for the global economy.

Congrats Viggo, you will LOVE the result. Are you doing the Ruf suspension? What other Ruf bits are you doing?

That's awesome Viggo, and happy birthday. (you make me feel really old being only 30! lol)
That car is going to be a stunner mate.
Sending a car of mine to RUF is just a dream.
5 weeks of no sleep though
What a b'day pressie!
