Probably just wanted to check out your ride, TX is usually pretty calm about speed.

Averaged 71mph, and 22.9mpg. About 44 hours total travel time.

Pretty uneventful really.

Quad,

So sorry for being late to the thread. For long road trips, I bring Rufus (Steve), a 997tt (Terry) and a black Ruf (Javier).

This just in case I completely lost you.

Ahhhh.....thanks for the memories.

Wish I had 993 twin turbo buddies... :-( Just not enough around here...especially RUF versions. Only one I know of...

So if you were to change one to a RUF-BTR2, would you buy one, convert one with low meliage like mine or pick one that has been driven and has higher mileage?

Robert,

Ruf is no longer doing BTR-2 conversions, and they were always done to narrow-body, non-turbo donors. Your car can still be converted to a Turbo R. It can be done right down the street from you in Dallas. You shoul;d talk to those guys about your options. Kevin here in San Francisco recently converted his guards red PERFECT low mileage TT to a Turbo R, and he is still thrilled. Talk to him also.
