Default Can you reach the rear rebound ***** for Motons or JRZ shocks?

For you guys with remote reservoir shocks, can you actually reach the rebound adjustment ***** at the tops of the shocks in the engine bay?

I'm installing some JRZs and realized that I can't possibly reach in there due to my big fat intercooler. Just wondering if factory 993TTs present the same issue and what anybody has done about it.

Yes

You really won't be messin with the rebound adjustment all that much Eric so no worries. Once or twice is all I ever did, I mess with the compression all the time.

If the car is a track car, you will adjust the rebound quite a bit.

Yup, except I actually drive mine on the street too instead of trailering it around like it's some prima donna.

I actually expect to tweak the settings a lot, like for every drive to/from the track. But I suppose you could just leave the rebound stiff and deal with it.

Not if you expect to get your handling set up properly for the given day / given track. The adjustment makes a large difference in how the car feels. If you have adjustable suspension, expect to adjust them regularly to the changing conditions. If not, you might as well have standard suspension.

haha they all say that You won't mess with rebound as much as you think trust me. Compression alone brings such a huge difference between clicks that its amazing. Much better than your old pss9's with two "real"settings

The rebound also makes a lot of difference and although I don't change the rebound as much as the compression,I like changing the rebound. You have to remove the intercooler but it doesn't take much time and you can do it between runs. Keeping it full stiff is definitely the wrong thing to do (rebound or compression-more reboud, like it soft rebound-keeps the tires on the ground) each click makes a dfference and I've learned the hard way that for me, I have to keep the settings fairly equal front to back or I get too much oversteer if I make the rears any stiffer than the front ... (I have moton cs)

IME with moton cs you can get at the driver side wearing short sleeves and getting a little scraped up. The passenger side requires removing half the air filter housing.

Ok, I found a nice inexpensive solution. Flex extension into a 5/16" nut driver, stuck onto the shock adjuster. I'll need to affix it all probably with set screws, but heck for $10 each it's hard to beat. lol.

I know I'm bringing up an OLD thread but did this work for you? I'd like to be able to adjust my shock settings while in the car . Any advice? I've got 3 way JRZs.
