BTW I was quoted $4k locally for this service + oil change. Like I need a reason to justify my tool purchases

I am not sure why removing bumpers and a lot of other stuff is needed just for the check valves? - I have done 3 or 4 of these now, and I did not need to remove the bumper or brackets, just the mufflers and a few other bits. Sure its tight, but most parts of these cars are...

I am doing this from the comfort of a lift though. Nice write ups though, thanks!

How else you going to save the 3 lbs of dirt and rocks that is hidden in the rear bumper
