DIY turbo / FPR / Oil Check Valve
Met Kevin on Tues for the first time, (at 7:30 pm - a fellow work-a-holic!, an outstanding guy/enthusiast) and got my goods. I've fumbled through the install and took some pics so I'll post them. Sorry if I missed any steps! Can certainly be done with little or no guidance but need a little mechanical instincts I think...
Jack up car / place on jack stands
Remove rear wheels
Remove rear light assembly, remove bumperettes
Unclip electrical connections for lights and push/pull out of hole from engine bay

Unclip O2 sensors line in engine bay on each side (they’re different colour so you won’t mix them up, remove rubber grommet, loosen O2 line bracket without taking the screws all the way out (hard to put back in), remove O2 sensors x4

need to remove one allen from actuator pot mount to remove one of the oil lines from driver side turbo
cut off actuator hose – long enough so won’t be a problem with it being too short when installing new turbo
remove inlet and outlet turbo hoses

Remove oil supply line for turbo/rubber grommet (if installing check valve). Not easy to do with the limited space…
(Despite trying to clean things the best I could prior to removing my oil lines in general, I could not stop dust from getting into the turbo oil line fittings – especially the oil supply line/turbo bearing/turbo side of line - and suspect trying to install a check valve kit on a 10 yr old turbo would be difficult)
