I also was under the impression that the UMW stage I kit was worth north of 475hp...????

Thanks for the link. Anyways if you factor in roughly 25% drivetrain loss (assuming stock puts down 400) then the UMW Stage I should be 482 approx...

As I said in the original thread, I believe 450HP is closer to reality. That was on 92 octane. I use 100 octane at the race track and the ECU adjusts for it, increasing power. I never got a good dyno run on race gas because the tires kept losing grip at higher RPM; but the shape of the curve indicated around 20WHP increase on the race gas; that is where I got the 475HP.

I've also been on the track with C6 Z06's and we're pretty much dead even; the Turbo has more grip coming out of corners and they just barely start to pull away above 90MPH. Again, this indicates the power somewhere near 475HP.

Based on discussions with Kevin, these numbers are in the right ballpark. It's important to understand this is all "ballpark" information because dynos are weird beasts. The most telling thing to me was how well it keeps pace with 500HP C6 Z06s; and, these guys are very good/fast drivers, usually on Hoosiers and me on MPSCs.

Anway, the S oil cooler was not enough to keep it cool.

I'm just going to have to dyno my car and list it here. I too have the Stage 1 on a fresh motor and I run mixed gas all the time. I run max boost of 1.2, but usually keep it dialed back to 1 bar. My understanding was that the HP was always a function of how much air engine could flow, not anything to do w/the UMW bits...and that in stock form you were limited by the amount of air the stock intake system could handle. I originally wanted to build a 500hp motor but was informed that would take cams & other bits. I've always thought w/the Stage 1 my engine was in the 430/440 range...like I said, I need to put it on the dyno. I'm also only 2 wheel drive, so a bit less of a loss in the drive train.

Yes please post your dyno run. I'm planning to do a two wheel drive dyno run on mine sometime in the near future. It will by done on a DynoJet so I can compare it to my other cars that I've run on the same dyno.

So, try to get your run done on a DynoJet too.
