One thing that must be answered first is what is your budget?

Costco has a great "race deck" type solution. But I did not have it in my budget to spend the 4$ or so a tile.

I used regular VCT tile from Home Depot. Similar to what you see in grocery stores etc. Not the self stick ones. You have to put down the glue etc.

I did my whole 3 car garage for just over 500 bucks. AND it is still looking good 3 years later.

Here are some pictures. Lt. Gray and the dark matched the trim on the house.

And I learned that knee pads were a big need......AFTER I blistered my knees

Thats is the catalyst for the glue.. Must be because I see it in just about every picture of folks covering their floors

Tim - how low does the temp get there? Any concerns about extreme cold given our winters are, I think, a bit colder than yours?

We have below zero weeks in the winter. Not as long as yours thank God

My garage is finished (not heated) so it does not get brutal cold in there. Durability is outstanding. Only thing I would say is if you do it make sure the glue sets up the 30min it requires. I got rushed towards the end and put down a few tiles to early and they shifted a year later.
