That's the dream - to have a very large garage that will house the growing PCar collection. My wife has already been "trained" to look at homes with a 4 car garage MINIMUM. For now, my one car garage forces me to keep the other in an offsite storage facility... Not cool!

Yasir btw I see you still got the 91 Turbo why not go with a 993 Turbo trust me its worth the extra dollars that I know you don't want to spend.

As I said, and quoting a great film that I can't remember "I meant no disrespect"...

Purchased my first Porsche at 17, a 1980 911 SC (imported from europe in 84'), sold that years ago, buying a 1997 993 C2S now at age 22. If buissness continues to do well, then I should be shopping for a 993TT in 6 months or so.

Urban,
You are very right it does. I was just naming the Porsches I have owned. I have a few other toys as well but they are not P-cars so I thought I would leave them out. The other ones are American Muscle cars and an Import.

I don't know how I missed this thread through all these years. May be because I don't really own a 993TT. Mine is a 993t.
Anyhoooo, I got my Ruf in 2003 when I was 53 years old. My first Porsche ever. Now I am at the ripe old age of 60.

Bought my first TURBO in 1976(the first US turbo) at the age of 23 and have been on booooooooooooooooooooost ever since !! LOL !!!It was Black/Black with only 2k miles and I remember setting in the car for the first time smelling the new Porsche leather and grabbing the steering wheel and making the statement :"I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M IN A $25,000.00 CAR" !!!!!! WOW, how things have changed !!!!

I bought my first Porsche three years ago at age 39 - the one you see in my avatar.
While in college, I worked one summer for a local businessman who owned a 1979 turbo. I worked at his house cleaning the pool, moving the lawn, and anything else they needed done. My favorite job was washing the Porsche. When I was done with it, that car was always spotless. I got to drive it one day, hit boost in second gear, and I swore right then and ther I would own one one day.
What a fortunate group of people we are.

Back in 06 on this thread I said I was 29 whern I bought it. Cant belive I've had this thing for 6 years. This is my 4th turbo (2 79's & a 78). Had this one the longest. The 993 is much lighter and faster than it was iun '05 - it also lacks awd now. (it also has a couple more german stablemates)

Bought my first P car in 2001 at 49. Bought the 1st turbo in 2007 at 55 and the last one in 2010 at 58. Screwed around with BMW, Audi and MB beginning when I was 26. Prior to that I had a bunch of " Fix it again Tony"s. Been a good run so far.
