Congrats to all who are fortunate enough to own a 993tt. I feel lucky myself to have such a great car. I am surprised at the young age of the 993tt owners, I thought I was one of the younger ones! (38).
I also have an 87 951. How many of you plan on keeping your tt for life?
how many drive their tt daily? What about in rain? anyone in snow (definitely not me)?

Rain? Huh? Is that why there are those little nubs under the windshield? Its my understanding that arena red is a water color, and will simply fall off the car if it gets wet.
You are all such a bunch of young kids. My first Porsche was a 1970 911E that I bought in 1972. I was 31. After I destroyed that beautiful car by turning it into an IMSA race car, I got a 1974 911 targa... in 1980. I bought Waldo (1996 993TT in 2002) and Rufus in 2005.

Jeff,
Geeks and nerds will truely appreciate that plate. For the great "unwashed", 0x3E1 is geek-speak for 911. Well done, Jeff.
Danny,
Well... I AM in So Cal, so rain is not a major issue. But I normally use my kid's Scion as my daily driver.

Okay, my base 16 and hexidecimal may be a bit rusty, but I did get Steve's age. On the other hand I must have missed the class on how to read that plate.... Steve or Jeff a little help here, please... and don't tell the rest of my geek friends as they may take away my favorite pocket protector.

OMG... I got it wrong. 0x3E1 = 993. Even better.
Tom, Go to your MS "calculator" and get into "scientific mode. Entar a number in decimal and convert to hex by pressing the "hex" key. Or press the hex key and enter a number, and convert it to decimal.

Well, I've only had her for a few weeks, but she's a come-rain-come-shine daily driver... and unfortunately only able to be garaged if I'm going away (garages in London are pretty thin on the ground - thanks mum, thanks dad for the loan )...
I'm a firm believer that a car should be used...
