Wow, much younger average than I expected. I was 28 when I bought mine, but am now 31. Bought my first Porsche at 21 (944 Turbo S) and then bought my second one at 26 (91 911 Turbo) and then the 993.
I fell in love with Porsches when my brother bought a new 1986 944 after opening his second jewellery store. It was a big moment for us as my parents came into Canada with nothing when their old country was being nationalized and they were forced out. To have their son and my brother buying an "exotic" car was huge.
The second big moment came in 1996 when I was at an auto-x and a 1996 911 Turbo pulled up, midnight blue and lowered. I remember my friend and I just staring at it and the owner later remarking that he could practically see the drool. I knew in my heart at that moment that I'd have one, one day. Little did I know that I would end up buying that very car, 8 years later, with only 23,000km on the clock.
For those in your 20's with this car, you've done very well for yourself, congratulations!

I'm 37 and I bought my first (993 Targa) brandnew exactly on my 28th birthday (picked it up in Stuttgart); inbetween was a new 996 4S, and since Jan 2004 I am in love with my 993 TT.

After ten years of BMWs (6BMWs, 3M-cars), I first bought a Porsche two years ago... a Cayenne Turbo (hey, this was for Israel, and the roads out there are like moon-craters).
Moved back to London recently, and thought long and hard about new cars. Had an AMV8 on order, and was considering a 997S as well. Found my baby on the day I was supposed to take delivery of the Aston and even sucked up the £5K lost deposit. Couldn't be happier with her, and would only consider changing her for a RUF (CTR-2 or Rt12)... some day maybe...

My first Porsche was the turbo at 39, last year in fact. I used to go to Paul Miller Porsche and stare through the fence in my college years with drool stains on my shirt afterwards.
Test drove a 944S in 1990 and fell in love, however, had just graduated college and $45,000.00 was not readily available.
Time and patience and I finally got my Porsche and the ultimate one in my opinion.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I wish I still had the 968 as a daily driver but oh well. I'm currently on the 996TT. There was an E46 M3 in there as well but I didn't keep it long.
